Cucina Cocina
MasterChef fellow and friend, Tracy Kontos, and I have merged our vast gastronomic talents and culinary backgrounds to create Cucina Cocina—a unique venture providing personalized chef services for private events, cooking demonstrations, and more. We also teach wellness cooking classes for clients like SONY Pictures Entertainment and organize corporate team-building events of various sizes.
Cucina Cocina’s Mission
To change, empower, and educate people through sharing the art of cooking and the love for great, locally produced food. We are committed to help our communities grow, develop, and connect; this will serve as a vehicle to create local partnerships as well as positive change. We will open and operate a cooking school that is comprehensive and available to people of all ages and income levels. It is our purpose to always provide extraordinary service with a friendly attitude and a cooperative and rewarding environment for everyone. We are committed to the environment, support sustainable farming practices, farmers markets, and community supported agriculture.

Tracy Kontos and Alejandra Schrader met during the taping of MasterChef Season 2, a show with Chef Gordon Ramsay. From over 30,000 applicants, they both made it to the Top 10. Driven by their passion for food and love for the art of cooking, they decided to leave their careers after the show and founded Cucina Cucina.
